Club News
December 19, 2020 11:25 pm
Hello Everyone, Wow did we get hit with some good snow and it came as a surprise! Sorry for the late update but we have been scrambling to get the trails ready. We did post a couple of updates on Facebook so please go there to get the latest info, rather than waiting for an email. The trails are partially open. Our plan is to open ~70% of the trail system now and eventually get the rest of the system open by tomorrow night. Access to the Stewarts in Lake Luzerne is only possible if you ride to the Luzerne groomer barn and take the sidewalk down East River Drive to the store. We are having a landowner issue and currently they have blocked us from getting to Stewarts. The Bike Path remains closed so you can't get to the lake at the moment. It will take a few days of grooming and cold weather to get the trails in decent shape. Right now they are soft and a little boney in some sections. Thanks, SWSC...

Applications
November 28, 2020 1:00 pm
Applications are processed once a month until snow flies so there may be a delay on when you receive your certificate. Please don't worry about your messages from the DMV about your registration expiring as long as you register before you ride.

About Us...
- Details
South Warren Snowmobile Club is a not-for profit organization with in excess of 1,200 members and is committed to their safety and well being. We take great pride in maintaining our trails from signage to grooming, we are proud to offer some of the most scenic trails in the state. We sponsor several snowmobile safety courses throughout the year and respect the rules of the trail: ride SMART and be RESPONSIBLE.
To support the maintenance of our trail system, SWCS undertakes a variety of fund-raising events throughout the year to support our endeavors. Selling fried dough at the local music festivals, conducting raffles, holding our golf tournament and our annual snowmobile raffle all contribute to keeping our groomers up and running once the snow flies. Please support us when you can.
Our trails can be accessed from Route 9N, which runs from Lake Luzerne to Lake George, NY. There is also a parking lot north of the West Mountain Ski area that can be accessed from Exit 18 of the Northway (I-87). Our trails are very well marked and trails maps are available at all of the stops on our route.
Visit our Sponsor page, or Google Lake George snowmobiling for more details on accommodations, etc. You will find the local establishments to be VERY user-friendly
Insurance is required to ride our trails. Please ride safely and respect the landowners rights, we are fortunate they let us access their property on several right of ways.

Our extensive trail network connects the communities of Lake George, Lake Luzerne, Queensbury, and Glens Falls. Easy access to I-87 (Northway) to several free, no hassle parking areas make this an ideal spot to spend a weekend or evening.
No matter your experience level, you will enjoy the winding trails that encompass several mountains as well as a scenic run up the Hudson River. Our trails are meticulously groomed from season open to the last ride. Friendly supporters, either directly on or nearby our trails, operate a variety of enterprises to accommodate your needs for lodging, fuel, food and spirits. You will find the atmosphere on and along our trails to be friendly and inviting, making an exceptional place for families and beginners.
Come on up and give our ride our trails and support the businesses that support us! We do not charge a fee to ride our trails, but we strongly encourage you to join our club to support our groomers. Club membership saves you money at DMV.
