Monthly Snowmobile Meetings: 2019-2020

The meeting schedule will be the first Monday of every month from September thru April.

The meeting locations are:

 

November – ADK Bar & Grille, 149 Queensbury – 7pm

December – Waterhouse Restaurant, Lake Luzerne – 7pm

January – Long Horn Restaurant, Lake Luzerne – 7pm

February – East Cove Restaurant in Lake George February 3rd, 2020 at 7pm

March – Barnsider Restaurant in Lake George at 7pm March 2nd

April – TBA

    Hello Everyone,   I hope this e-mail finds everyone in good health.  Crazy times we are going through right now. I think it goes without saying that the trails are closed for the year. What a bummer season this was.  We had two good weeks of riding around here. :(  Most of the signs have been taken down and most of the gates are now closed.   The fundraiser we had planned at the Longhorn restaurant this Sunday has been postponed until further notice.  As of today the Longhorn is still open for takeout so please try to support our local businesses during this difficult time. We are still selling $5 tickets to win a $250 gift certificate to Progressive Motorsports.  We were going to draw the winner this Sunday so that is postponed as well.  If you want to purchase a ticket please contact Cindy Woodcock at 518-683-0528 and she will find a way to get you one. We do have our final club meeting of the season scheduled for April 6th (location TBD) but I'm guessing that will be postponed until...

The following announcement is from the Warren Co. Parks Dept. regarding the new Snow Train that will run from Saratoga Co. to the North Creek area this year. For snowmobiler's safety, clubs in this area are being asked to pass this important information on via newsletters and club websites so that any local riders and visitors alike can be made aware of this situation. Anyone trespassing on the railroad corridor (including the area adjacent to the tracks) will be prosecuted!

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Railroad right-of-way spanning the entire length from North River in Warren County to Saratoga Springs is an active Railroad. There is and will be increased train traffic year round in the Railroad right-of -way. Entry on the Railroad right-of-way without the express permission of the Railroad operator is strictly prohibited. Travel by foot, vehicle or snowmobile on or near the Railroad Right-of-way is strictly prohibited. Do not park any vehicle, including a snowmobile, on or near the Railroad right-of-way or on or near any Railroad crossing, whether public or private.

Snowmobile traffic from North River to Tahawus in Essex County will be permitted with the following conditions:

1) No use of the railroad corridor for snowmobile purposes will be permitted south of Mile Post NC 2.05 at North River. Signage will be posted.

2) Each snowmobile organization must execute our standard right of entry agreement, similar to the arrangement reached with the prior owners of this corridor. If you would please provide us with the contact info for each of these organizations, I would then draft and provide the agreements for signatures.
