Official minutes of the 01/06/2020 South Warren Snowmobile Club Meeting called to order at 7:05 pm by President Mike Zilm at The Longhorn Restaurant.


32 Members in attendance

The Pledge of Allegiance was stated.


Secretary Minutes:

Secretary minutes were read aloud to attendees. Motion made by Pete O’Neill to accept and seconded by Guy Miner.


Treasurers Report:

Denise went over the Treasurer’s Report. Motion made by Bob Fearman to accept the Treasurer’s Report – second by Nick Lamando.




Trail Report:

Pete worked on signs, spreading gravel & snow fencing. Mike mentioned Roger Saheim and Matt Plummer are completed the work on Mt. Kenyon trails. The sign missing from Potash Rd. has been replaced. There is a re-route in the state park by the horse corral. The big sign in the Village is in the hands of West Signs. The ribbon has been put up behind Stewarts in Lake Luzerne.


Groomer Report

The drag on the Piston Bully in LG received a new drag. The newest drag before that was 4 years old.


Fundraising Report

The Snow Squall party will not be held at the Holiday Inn. Cindy will make a list of all possible donators which will then be delegated out for the party. Online webstore to be active with the week; there will be 12-15 items available and members are encouraged to make suggestions.





Stewarts have placed boxes at different locations for gas receipts. We need to come up with a system to collect signatures for the log necessary to file with the receipts.


The training was a success, there were 54 attendees (one of the largest). Thank you to Greg Dunn.


Donations were made to HL Class of 2021 and HLMMD of $100 each.




Our website is all updated with admin information, meeting minutes, etc.


There was a concern raised by homeowner about use of his land by snowmobiles (corner of 9N and East River Dr. There is enough public land there to pass and not hit his property. Please be mindful of his wishes and not race or rev through the area.


Delaney Moulton was the recipient of the 2019 $500 scholarship.





Mike Fazio mentioned the upcoming breakfast at the Firehouse for Connor Ives, a child from Lake Luzerne whom has been diagnosed with lymphoma.
