OLD BUSINESS

Snowmobile Race

The snowmobile races were held on Lake Luzerne on February 3, 2019. The Fire Company and SWSC worked together selling hotdogs, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches. It was extremely cold and the Fire Company suggested next year possibly setting up a Tent to keep everyone a little warmer. It was very successful.

Poker Run:

President Bob Grant stated that the Poker Run will be held on February 23, 2019 starting at Holiday Inn (TR’s Restaurant) in Lake George at 10am and end at the Garrison at 6pm. The stops will be Holiday Inn (TR’s Restaurant), Waterhouse Restaurant, American Legion Lake Luzerne, Long Horn Restaurant, Ciro’s Restaurant, Barnsider, Adirondack Bar & Grill, Duffy’s Tavern and the Garrison. The entry fee is $10 per person and vehicles are welcome. NO ATV’s. Rain or Shine. There will be poker chips handed out and the cards will be drawn at the Garrison.

NEW BUSINESS

Snowsquall Party:

The Snowsquall Party will be held at the American Legion Post Hall on March 23, 2019. We are asking all members to please consider making a dish to bring to the party. Please contact Sherry Saheim or Coleen Flynn with what you will be bringing. Further details to come.

DEC:

Mark McLain said that DEC was reviewing the coverage that the Snowmobile Clubs had regarding insurance for DEC Property. They don’t feel that it is enough insurance coverage. They have hired independent consultants to research this. Mark contacted New York State about it and they feel that it is enough. There is $3 million of coverage per person.

President Bob Grant stated that if anyone is interested in being nominated for an office to please let him or Mark McLain know. Nominations will be done in March with the election in April. The positions are: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Executive Director.

Mark McLain suggested that we move the Annual Monthly Meeting to March starting next year.
