Poker Run 2019

The meeting was held at Ciro’s Restaurant. Meeting started at 7:00 pm. There were 30 members in attendance. Mark McLain led the meeting. We have 652 members. We had a guest speaker Robert Ripp from DEC. DEC has produced new management guide lines for the construction and maintenance of the snowmobile trails in the Adirondack Park. He spoke to the Board of Directors and stayed for the monthly meeting. He answered some questions regarding the trails.

TREASURER REPORT: there are no unpaid bills.

TRAIL REPORT: Trails are in good shape. Mark will put up no parking signs behind the Legion, people are parking in front of a driveway. The Bike path is open, please drive slowly. Tread lightly on the bike path. Mike Zilm mentioned that when grooming in Lake George near the Rite Aid, stay as far off side walk as possible. Thanks to the groomer guys for doing an awesome job!

GROOMER REPORT: The ignition is loose on Matt’s groomer. They will get it fixed. The oldest machine was down with exhaust and alternator problems. It has been fixed. The snowmobile safety class was a success. There were 27 students and all passed.Thanks to all the volunteers for there time for this class.

FUND RAISING REPORT: There will be a poker run on February 13th. It starting at The Waterhouse and ending at Ciro’s. The other stops will be The American Legion, Adirondack Grill, the Longhorn and the Garrison. The entry fee is $10.00. The start time is 10:00am and ends at 6:00 pm. The proceeds will go toward the Scholarship Fund.

We received a request for a donation for the Purple Ribbon Cancer Ride, this event takes place on February 10, 2018. A motion was made to give $100.00 by Sherry and seconded by Colleen. All in agreement.

February 3, 2018 The Rock Maple Racing will happen again. We will have a food truck there to serve coffee, hot cocoa, hot dogs. Wes is in charge of this and he will get volunteers. The time of this event is 8-3.

Also on February 3, 2018 is the annual snow squall party. The party will be held at the American Legion in Lake Luzerne. The price is $15.00 per person. The start time is 4:00 pm. Wimpy and Skittles will be there, plus music. We will have full use of the facility. There will be several raffles. If you can volunteer, contact Colleen. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!!!!! Sean won the 50/50 raffle. He won a total of $68.00. Congratulations!! Mark suggested that we invite Gov. Cuomo to ride our trails. He will send him an invitation. A motion to adjourn the meeting by Sherry and Colleen 2nd motion. All agreed.
