Meeting Minutes

January 7th 2016

American Legion – Lake Luzerne

 

  • Meeting called to order at 19:05

  • Mark McClain made a motion to accept December’s meeting minutes without Johnny reading them.

    • Motion to accept – Butch

    • Motion passed.

  • Mark McClain read the treasurers report. Currently we have no unpaid bills.

    • Motion to accept – Albert Brooks

    • Seconded – Sherry Saheim

  • Mark McClain gave a membership report:

    • As of tonight’s meeting we have 497 paid members.

  • Mark McClain informed the club that the NYS DEC called to confirm we would not ride on their new side walk at the million dollar beach. They want us to put up snow fence to keep folks off.

  • Mark informed the club that the law requires you to give up your snowmobile to an officer who requires it.

  • Damon gave a brief Groomer Report. Everything is up and running and ready to go.

  • Fundraising Committee Report – Albert gave the report.

    • The snowsquall party is February 6th at the Longhorn. Jeremy will be doing everything this year as he did last year. Tickets are $15 before the party and $20 at the door.

    • Albert mentioned that the committee needs more help.

    • Albert asked for 5-6 people to help the day before the party setting up the tent

  • Hammer informed the club of the Directors meeting that was help before the club meeting this evening. The club is looking at possibly purchasing a new Groomer; Roger addressed the club and gave some more details about the specific ones we are considering.

  • The trails are in good shape and ready for snow. Everyone do the snow dance!

  • We installed a new light on the back of the Piston Bully so that it is easier to see.

  • Hammer mentioned that the Snowmobile Safety class was a success. 24 kids attended.

  • The next meeting will be February 4th at the American Legion at 19:00.
