King Neptune’s Restaurant – Lake George


  • Meeting called to order at 19:03

  • Mark McClain made a motion to accept January’s meeting minutes without Johnny reading them.

    • Motion to accept – Jerry Flynn

    • Motion passed.

  • Mark McClain read the treasurers report. We paid out over 20 thousand dollars in groomers repairs last month to fix the groomers.

    • Motion to accept – Leslie

    • Seconded – Kathy

  • Hammer wanted to thank everyone who is a part of the club and who has been putting in a lot of extra work.

  • Trail report from Hammer. So far the trails are in very good shape. Mike Dalaba and Plummer are looking for extra groomer drivers if anyone is interested. Let hammer know this evening.

  • The club received a call from the town of Lake George stating that we have an illegal snowmobile trail that goes to the LG American Legion. We removed the signs.

  • Groomer drivers have been reporting some out of control kids on the trail system while grooming. It is stated that they are traveling at speeds in excess of 100 mph. We have a sheriff that has offered to groom on a regular basis to hopefully combat the issue.

  • Fundraising Committee Report – Albert gave the report.

    • The Snowsquall party will be at the Longhorn on March 14! $15 before the party for tickets and $20 at the door. Whippy and skittles will be there.

    • This Saturday we will be having our first poker run. It starts at 9:30 AM at the American Legion in Lake Luzerne and also The Adirondack Bar & Grill. It will be $10 per card and we will also be awarding the 2014 Ginny Russell Scholarship Award to Brianna Dalaba.

  • The 7th annual purple ribbon ride will be Saturday February 14 starting at Boars Nest. Hammer made a motion to donate $50 to the cause. The motion was seconded by Leslie and passed.


Break at 19:34 to sell 50/50 tickets.


  • New member drew the 50/50 ticket. $40 to the winner.

  • Meeting returned to order at 19:48.

  • Hammer mentioned that we were having problems with our email system and that you have to re-subscribe in order to receive emails from the club.

  • McClain informed the club that he received a notice from NYS Parks that groomer repairs, no matter how expensive, are no longer reimbursable.

    • NYSSA annual forum is in Rochester this year if anyone is interested in going.

    • Now we can download maps to our GPS. Mark has cards with link to the website.

  • Hammer wanted to thank the owners and employees of King Neptune’s.

  • Winter Carnival starts this weekend and goes all February long.


  • The next meeting will be March 5th at Garrison Restaurant at 19:00.
